This describes what thefishermansshop.com does today. It is written to match the site’s actual behaviour rather than to be generic boilerplate.
This website does not use advertising, does not sell data, does not build profiles, and does not set any cookies of its own. There is no login and no account.
No analytics are running. No measurement script is loaded and no analytics request is made from your browser on any page of this site.
No email provider is connected. The signup form on this site currently accepts nothing: it validates what you type, tells you plainly that the list is not open, and discards the input. Nothing is stored anywhere.
No mail provider is connected. The contact form currently sends nothing and stores nothing; it will tell you so when you submit it.
Where an episode has a video, it is embedded from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube does not set tracking cookies through that embed until you press play. Once you do, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to that playback.
Links to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Discord take you to those services, which have their own policies. We have no visibility into what they collect.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers, which may keep standard request and security logs under Cloudflare’s policies and the settings selected by the site owner. The contact and newsletter endpoints apply a short-lived, in-memory rate limit keyed on the requesting address to stop automated abuse; those keys live only inside Worker memory and expire within minutes. This application does not write IP addresses to a database.
The series is made for a general audience rather than for young children, and this site is not directed at children under 13. No account or personal information is required to use it.
Questions about any of this, or a request to be removed from the mailing list, can go through the contact form.
This page is a plain description of how the site works. It is not a legal document, and it does not claim compliance with GDPR, CCPA or any other specific regime — that assessment depends on where the operator and the audience are, and it needs a lawyer, not a website. If a formal policy is required, this page should be replaced with one that has been reviewed properly.
